Jaclynne, you nailed it!!

That link is IT.

That is what I have envisioned for years.

Those photos of the house, and the simplicity of the house, is what I want to do.

I have faith I can do it!!

Thank you so much.

Lajitas holds a special place in my heart. We (my parents/us kids) used to stay in the resort all the time. The last time we were there as a family was 11 years ago.

Is your sister still there?!?

I love to dream about that place! I can just imagine standing on that bluff.

Sorry, Sis is back in East Texas, she came home when Mom got real bad. She loved it there, and I think she'd go back but would miss her grandbabies. And her husband would miss having a beer store 10 miles down the road. He was quite vexed by the thought of running out of beer so far from the supply, although, he said it made a nice day trip to town. They had to cross two other properties and the Devil's River to get to a sort of real road. He's not of the semi-hermit slant she and I are (but then, we aren't alcoholics like he is either).

One of your links reminded me, she said they met all kinds of oddballs when they went into town, felt she fit right in. She's a sort of free spirit. She is eccentric, but funny and witty, a bit of an herbalist. Too bad she's not still there, I think you two get along great.
