43 states saw an increase in unemployment the past month...including Texas.

Who do you think has more to gain from having a foreign work force that will work for less than a tenth what the average American, a business or the US government? Who stands to loose out on tax revenue? Who do you think lobbied for all those favorable regulations regarding imports? What has the recent bailouts told us about the US government? I think we can correctly deduce that most of the government is bought and paid for by large corporations. What wins elections, big money or big ideas? No secret where that big money comes from.

I have been saying this for years. Global trade is unfair because companies don't have to follow the same rules as here in America. Lets not forget most of these imports are made for many domestically owned companies.

There was always the opportunity to make money here. People got greedy and outsourced. Putting tariffs on goods that come from countries that have weaker regulations will not make for higher profits of our own domestic companies. It will however give companies more incentive to stay here in the US instead of circumventing laws by outsourcing.

They just announced the building of this plant in TN. There is also an automotive parts manufacturer that just got a contract with VW in that town.
