Fait Acompli

I did it. I found an old office chair in the basement. I set one side of the appliances on the chair, had my wife grab the back of the chair, and I lifted from the other end. Worked pretty slick. Turned out we didn't have to clear the toilet tank, just the bowl.

Would that be a Hillbilly bidet?

Well you beat me to it, I wanted to help. I was going to suggest, 2 people, and something as high as the toilet to set it on - wood box, sturdy stool, or something strong. In our case we had to do that corner suffle at the bottom of the stairs so I know what you mean, and ended up setting the appliances on a couple bags of salt to keep them one step high. Worked fine, you just need a tad higher than our situation.

That's what you did, so good thinking.

yes unless you have really low cielings 2 strong people pick it up and move it over the top of the toilette

are you getting new ones?
if you are buy them from a smaller applience store say ok but you throw in delivery and removal of the old one
and the smaller local store even hooked up the hoses and balanced it and got my first load running before they left

my washer went out this summer baught a new washer and made that deal they normaly charge 25 dollars delivery and hook up

boy did they have fun getting that old washer up the stairs from the basment to give you an idea it is such a close fit that it has to be in the air and the door has to come off to get the washer thru it looked like it was going to fit but didn't so while they stood holding it on the stairs you know th good steep ones in hundred year old houses i took ethe door off the hinges and moved it out of the way then they made it thru
the new washer was less than 1/4 inch clearance on each side with the door off

could i have done it myself sure but no one pays we when i throw my back out and can't go to work so after 4 ruptured disks in my back i found some smarts

No, when you put them back in you'll need a welder, super glue and some duck tape.
