We do have a few Lacto-Ovo-Venison vegetarians here....

"Wednesday is Bingo night. I'm thinking about beer braised wild rice brats with sauerkraut and artichoke hearts with deep fried green beans and Texas toast. The brats are from a local producer. Any thoughts?"

I'm thinking they would be more inclined towards finger food. Say one chicken leg and wing and fries. Or a brat in a bun with fries or potato chips. KISS.

To go, why not. All you really need is the styrofoam containers.

Are artichoke hearts a local fave? Just doesn't seem like VFW fare, somehow.... I'd like a fresh burger with double garlic mushrooms, please. And some of those green beans!
I'll bring my little color dabber thingie, and take 5 cards, please.....

Most people never even heard of them, but I love them and I think anyone who likes brats and kraut will like them. They go real well together. I'm talking pickled artichoke hearts. Kind of a good way to get folks to try something new while eating an old favorite.

A hot hamburger.. This is so simple but haven't seen it on a menu in over 30 years.

1/2 grilled hamburger bun, a hamburger patty on top. Scoop of potatoes next to it and a really good brown gravy on everything. I always thought the crispy grilled bun added something to all of it.

Good luck on your restaurant.

A hamburger Hot Brown? Sure, why not? Poor Al has more than enough backseat restaurant managers here, but he DID ask for it......

Has anyone thought about a Taco truck? Right now there is this craze in the South West U.S. of people going around eating from Taco Trucks (mobile food stands) and chowing down on Taco's. I would think it would be more profitable than a HotDog stand, run it 24/7 and make your rounds, could be a big seller in the summer.

Taco Truck: Saw one in Nashville set up next to a Mexican oriented grocery store. I thought it was a nice match and there were people waiting in line. That area of Nashville (on Charolotte Avenue) is becoming known as Little Mexico. However, were there plants left they could set up for lunch break.

You're kidding - right? Artichoke hearts? DEEP FRIED green beans? Well you know your customers better than we do, but to me: Bingo players need 1 hand free so go with finger food, brat in a bun with fries or ORings would work.

I love to have the option of getting "breakfast" any time of the day.

I have already suggested for you to incorporate a veggie plate into your menu. I also love to be able to substitute a veggie burger patty in place of a hamburger.

I also love a veggie rueben, grilled cheese or fried peanut butter & jelly.

This is great Tink! i didn't know you were planning a restaurant either. this is close to my heart because it's similar to what my husband and i were planning if he had lived to retire. i must go back and read your past threads on this. ~Georgia.

I have grilled cheese (frankly any restaurant who says they can't make you a grilled cheese is lying!). I also have a killer nacho plate with all the fixin's.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before but if you throw some onions on the back of the grill in some butter it will make folks hungry. Just replace as necessary> it also lets them know the grill's ready...
