Well the last time I had a Wood Cook Stove it was in a one room House Had it out far enough to go behind it and take a Bath but the place had Rock Walls,Concrete Floor and Metal Roof.So didn't have to worry about it getting too hot.
But I have seen Wood Cook stoves in Small houses where you just barely have room to turn around much less have the stove out where you could take a Bath behind it.
