Our mice in MN just move under the snow for the winter. All kinds of creatures keep on trucking under the snow. Once and a while they'll come up to the surface but not often.

A small bird. If there are only 3 tracks it hopped three times and took off. And by looking at the third track; top left you can see where the tail moved when it took off. The 2 holes are the feet. Haha

They don't look like bird tracks...birds drag their nails in the snow when they hop, but not in the middle like that. Birds also keep their tail up, so they are probably rodent tracks. OR...remember that mouse trap that went off, but you never found the body? Stumpy is back for revenge

I need more information... lol. Are there only three prints or do the tracks lead somewhere? etc. I can't see how a rodent would only make three prints if that is the case. Let me know. PS I love the wuff print... which one is the wuff?

turtlehead,

I am not positive, and the tracks are not great, but I think their woodrat tracks. I think you probably have 2 species up in WV, the Eastern and the Alaghany (spelling not correct, but I don't have a book handy.)
