All it takes is the will to do it and expect the unexpected, the inability to run to the corner store to get something that doesn't take 45 minutes for $2. Heat, water, a place for the girls to pee reasonably comfortably without snakes/bugs crawling in there shorts while distracted. Good muck boots, boot scraper, digging untensils and a plan to fall back on when you ask yourself what you are doing here after the owls/hawks just killed your dustmop you call a dog......for the third time. She just loves that breed ???
City boy here that has been 'rural' for over 20 years now and wouldn't go back to any other way.
