With the state of the economy there are many machines up for sale and being pawned. You may be able to find a high quality mig with little or no time on it, for the price that you want to spend.
Many times the warrantee follows the machine not the person who purchased it.
I'm constantly picking up high quality tools at the pawn shops for next to nothing. Tell the pawn dealer what your looking for. They know and talk to each other. If its around, they will be able to find it pretty quick.
