I've got a feeling there are going to be a lot of incompleted cabins as a result. I don't think anyone talking about a tradition of building log cabins would start this many at once. Didn't see a sawmill or any mention of where the logs come from.

This thread made me think about that site because several of his students reported that after they'd taken the class and built their own cabins, they had started their own side businesses making cabins for other people. No idea whether this is one of those students...

Hi Common Tator, our cabin is about 41/2 years old. No warping problems at all. I did put 5 in. wood screws every 2 ft. apart in each timber. Cut holes for windows and door with chain saw. Forget where some of the screws were and ruined a good chain.LOL
