Sounds like he should go into the bone cleaning business! All he needs is a couple colonies of dermestid beetles and he could have those skeletons clean in no time, then he could sell them!

If you'd like to see the type of work that dermestid beetles can do (a colony can eat an entire deer in a matter of hours btw) look here: http://www.skullcleaning.com/record_services.php?id=3 (that page has some good examples of what can be done with the skeletons).

Sad they waste roadkill. A local wildlife preserve with big cats gets some of the roadkill to save on their feed bill.

Here in MO, if you hit a deer and want it for meat, you just get the sheriffs office to write ya a note and you can take it to the local packing company to have it made into sausage if you want not that I would do that, but I know of people who have!

If I lived nearby, Id sneak over there with a couple gas cans and start a bon fire. Burning meat is a much better smell than rotting meat.

I hit a deer in TX in '95. THe bubbas in the truck behind me kindly made sure we were okay, cut its throat as a kindness at my request, then fled probably worried for their deer licenses when I asked them to load it on my truck. They DID hang it on the fence to drain at my urgent request.

So I drove to a nearby friend's and told them, he drove over and got it. He actually put a shot in it and bought a tag before taking it to the processing plant- he's worried about his deer license too.

Have a letter signed by our former Prez (as gov. TX) explaining to me why they weren't gonna change the laws from letting roadkill go to waste- his advisers tell him that a deer my car hits may be ill or otherwise unfit to eat. (My friends of course did fine.)
