As for temptation? Honest peope are not tempted to steal IMO

I'm sorry Shrek that as a woman home alone with her daughter that you think I should have confronted a man at least twice my size. We don't even have a neighbor that could see my house. In my house if I want to leave money somewhere I really believe I should have the right to. Should I have to hide my tv or computer or anything that might have a value, when I need something done by a repairman in my home? As for his comming back, I doubt it, as he knew I had six large dogs locked up in the bed room so they wouldn't eat him while he fixed the washer.

If you had played this correctly that five dollar bill could have netted you FREE repairs for as long as the guy worked for someone else as a repairman. You could have just let him keep it, confronted him and told him as long as your washer is kept in top-notch shape, nobody else needs to know that he steals. Just work out a plan for him to stop by off-duty whenever your washer breaks down.
