This time of year....are the coming of the sugar ants....they march right in and are somehow in every room, not swarms though. Easy fix, hubby freaks, I just spray all doorways, entry ways to outdoors and kitchen counters with good ole' white vinegar and instead of dead ones to clean up....they just go away! It is like magic and I do this every year. I wouldn't enjoy cleaning up hundreds of dead bugs...so sorry about the beetles! Even spiders get a ride on me outside. I try not to use pesticides but boy my hubby came from Florida, home of Scorpions (one nearly got my baby daughter, dog alerted hubby in time)! Huge palmetto bugs, look just like the plentiful cockroaches of that area....bugs in Florida are disgusting! Everyone gets their homes fumigated...NO THANKS! I like to breath my air. I do realize that to kill beetles you have to use what works but wow....I do not like cockroaches!

I use LD-44 and that is approved for use in milking parlors, etc.
Close the windows and BOMB the place.
Works great and lasts for some time, before I have to do it again.

First warm day? Don't I wish.... Hey, we have a some beetles too and it's not exactly warm here.

Heck, I'm jealous that it's warm enough for anyone to hang wash outside.

You might as well thank the organic community that lobbied for IPM. Along with the global warmers, Carson followers..etc.
Now I read somewhere that DDT wasn't so bad as claimed.

Why poison yourselves? Pick up a cheap vacuum cleaner that has disposable bags if you don't have one already. Get a good supply of bags. Then vacuum them up. Does no good really to spray as far as long term....they will be back next year.

So, be kind to yourselves and take another approach. Just common sense.

That LD- 44 really does a good job and being USDA safe to use in milk houses, that stuff does a good job.
I have 2 cans on hand already for the spring fling of those buggers. (WHEN) spring comes that is. lol Why you see them as soon as the weather starts to warm up is they are inside the WALLS. They have crawled in tiny openings in the fall, so you have them already they don't have to fly any distance to be in your house. lol
