This made me LOL. I'm glad we're not the only ones who have to take the goats for a walk. If the dogs go, they want to go too!

The last 1 was the big Ice storm 2 years ago lost power for 16 days yuck

Be careful what you wish for!

This is from yesterday, we had a crop duster working the field right across the road from the house.


Here's a dirt road that had too much rain.


We had cattle egrets this summer, this is pretty far north for them:


We are in the Missouri River bottoms, a major flyway for ducks and geese:


Last year we had our first set of twins! And lucky us, they were both heifers and mom has plenty of milk. They were 4 mos. old here:


We built this last year, it has sure been handy to get our stuff out of the weather.

love the red cows sure wish we could get a little of that rain This year I will have to buy hay.

In no particular order...

Cistern pump. The old cistern was already here we just attached the downspout and installed the pump.



Home, garage & chicken coop.


Barn used to be an old corn crib. We've renovated it into sheep and goat housing and a center storage area. It will be getting a new roof before winter.


Raised bed garden. I planted WAY too many tomatoes this year.


Loading the hayloft. We built the lofts so they could be easily loaded from the back of the pickup.


We built the chicken coop ourselves from the ground up. Part of it was designed for a garden shed, but I have a one-eyed rooster that is currently using it as his assisted living facility with a few girlfriends.

I wish Ihad pics of my land and garden but I just havent taken any.

MO Cows-that mama looks grumpy-guess twins will do that too ya.
