i love everyones pictures. Really fun to see
From the bench to "main" berm or pistol range berm 200 meters, from the bench to a 2nd berm is 260 (slightly up hill from pistol range, directly behind my truck in the bench picture). The 2nd berm is 385 meters from the top of my hill where the barn is. I set it up for silhouette practice, 200 meters is chicken distance and 385 is the turkey line. I've taken lanscape timbers and pea gravel to make shooting positions for prone and sitting.

The barn is a basic 60x40 with an attached 15 x 24 lean-to shop. We had a local contractor put build it. Basic 60x40 was $16,000.

$36233 for:

basic 60 x 40
two cool looking, but useless cuppola's with weather vanes
15 x 24 lean-to "shop" with concrete floor
Extra 12 x 15 concrete for porch
All electric installed
rainwater collection system with 3000 gallon storage

This is my place - various seasons - unfortunately the horses aren't mine but my neighbours in my field. I love the seasons. The Runestone was built by my DH for my birthday. My farm name is Whispering Rune Farm (but the runes read 'Sanctuary'

Here are a few misc photos of our place. We purchased 20 acres of pasture four years ago and then added 80 more acres two years ago.

My wife and I built a small cottage on the 20 acre parcel.

We added a good cow dog.

Thank you for your comments.

The dogs are Great Pyrenees. These two are 7 month old males and we also have their half sister who is over a year old now.

Great pictures and wonderful places to live.....thats where humans were meant to live....not all packed together.

I bought 5 acres last year and have been fixing it up,well clearing it up actually.
It was a abandoned old farm that was built before plumbing and had sat vacant for 12 years.....selling the house here in California and moving there permenantly next year some time.

I go there now every few months and do more work to get it ready.

The land is in the middle of Kansas and far far from anyone or anything.....the town nearby is about 200 people with a post office and a soda machine.

Going to be a big change from 50 miles north of Hollywood and 2 miles from the Ocean....

I have some pics I will upload and then post em .......
