We use between 400-500 a month, except in January and February, during which it doubles due to the use of heaters. Last year it went over 1000 during those months, but my son was living with me and home all day with the heater on. As a rule, no one is home between 8 and 5 during the week.

I put the spiral bulbs in every socket in the house. We use a mini fridge instead of a full sized, although I have read that that doesn't save as much as you would think! I do have a full sized chest freezer. We run one tv with the funstuff accessories, DVD/VCR, game players, etc. I line dry clothes, but do have a full sized washer. In the summertime we air condition one room and hang out in there when it's hot.

Sorry! There are two of us, and my house is a double wide manufactured home, not sure of the square footage, but I think it's around 2000 SF?
