Yes it gets cold sometimes in southern alabama. Check the average temps and you will see it does just not to the degree it does in Wisconsin. However, it is a wet cold and will chill you to the bone. It all depends on what your used to. When I moved here from Chicago 41 years ago it did not feel very cold to me but after a couple years it did. It does not get as cold here now as it did when I was a child.
