Well. I checked the forecast this morning. They are now calling for thunderstorms today, pouring rain on Saturday and Monday - and highs of 90 with a humidex of 105 on Sunday.

Guess we're not cutting hay this week.

Well, it appears that we got a two day break from the rain for today and tomorrow. Would have been nice to try to get some cut... but DH was contracted to haul some cows today.
The forecast isn't looking good for the rest of the week. Figures.

We're supposed to have 4 days of sun and the 2 days after are only a low POP. Launched the mower today and it'll go again tomorrow, hopefully getting everything cut. Nah there's a feild behind a swamp that'll take 7 hot days to re-gain access to, and maybe one other that will need time to dry. Still if we're down to 20 acres standing after Friday I'll be happy

Gonna jinx yourself Ross.

Got about 200 tons of wheat off so far, maybe another 300 to go, bout 150 4x5s of straw baled, but it sounds like something boogery is coming in tonight to soak things down. Wind's really starting to pick up.

We just got the rolls from our first cutting on our farm in the barn yesterday afternoon. The last load (seven rolls) picked up a lil rain but I set them on top so they should dry out ok. Now all I have to do is finish the "other farm", about 40 acres. Its not supposed to rain today or tomorrow, but the fields are so wet from last nights rain I wont be able to cut again now. This has been a miserable year for haying.
