If they can scronge up the money and put in a system.... I can burm up a dirt hill and plant some pines on it like one see next to busy roads to shield homes.... that alone would cost several dollars with my equipment and fuel.
I'm off this job and on to another one on August 15th, If I have to go back I will....I can hide the ugly, I can't hide the dumping.....I don't have the time or patience to deal with these people.... they don't work, and they don't care....
they have a terminal case of lazy and stupid....

This may be a much cheaper solution for both of you in the long run. Simply run a line across the field to a location where there is soil that will perk. You have lots of acres there, and obviously its perkable, or you wouldnt be building yourself. Its a shame that you already dozed the trees that were blocking the view of their homes. but like you say, a simple pine grove would solve that problem. Also, the gesture of helping them improve their situation has often worked for me in the past when dealing with poor folks. I have found they can be quite good assets to have on "your team". You mention that they dont care, and yet you also state that its impossible to put a system in on their own place. Its quite possible that they do care, but are simply unable to do anything about their situation. The use of a strip of pasture in the back forty for a septic system doesnt sound all that expensive to me, and could buy you a lot of peace of mind down the road. I have also found that the old saying "Patience is virtue" holds a lot of truth, and working with neighbors is much better than starting a war with them.
