Thank you for all of your advice. Though it seems like juices are still the online RECOMMENDED use for my jars.

I'm feeling adventurous. Maybe I'll give it a go and see what happens if DH is in agreement. Any cautionary tales before I get started?

I recently bought half gallon jars new from my local Ace Hardware.
