Wish I saw a whole lot less of them. $20-30,000 damage to our crops from bears every year, didn't have any before the government in their stupidity ended the spring bear hunt here. My neighbour has a small plane, not unusual for him to see 8-10 bears at a time in either his corn fields or ours on an August evening but we can't kill them fast enough.

I found 2 sets of tracks yesterday in a field behind the house from what appeared to be a large mother and a medium cub.

Bears are common in this area, and the largest ever killed was taken just about 2 miles from here:
