80 Acres:

5: will be the home site, the barn goes in this July.
9: Underwater, pond the house will overlook.
19: Crop field, beans this year
25: Hardwoods
22: Ex-CRP that we're turning into hay/pasture.

We live in town right now 12 miles away and use it primarily for recreation. The plan is to build in a couple years.

Chuck

5 acres

Still developing. 20 chickens, maybe more since I hear cheeping sounds, 3 guineas plus the neighbors 20 that come to visit, 2 cats.

House, barn, shed and chicken coop. One tractor that DH is really proud of.

We are in the process of adding on to the house so my parents can live with us.

100 x 200 garden, raised herb beds.

Still to build - goat barn, green house and more fencing.

SIGH! It never ends, but sure is fun.

Somewhere a little over 160... and it's not hardly enough. Have tried to double that several times, trying to purchase neighbors when they sold out. Twice I 'thought' I had 'deals', and then they welched on me.

I have about 100 acres, which is mainly forested with a large river and beaver ponds. I only have to really maintain 1 acre around the house so it's nott too much to keep up. Chris

108 acres, but we're only using maybe two acres, counting the house and yard. We're putting in a new well and plan to plant an orchard soon and possibly get some goats. When that's done, we'll still be using 5 acres or less.

My husband and I are hoping to close on our property in the next two weeks. It is an 83 acre farm in Kentucky with about 60 acres cleared. We've been doing a lot of research and are very excited about starting our homestead! There is a beautiful almost 100 year old house, 3 outbuildings and a barn that I'll be redoing shortly for our horses.

156.8 acres in South AB Canada. More land than I know what to do with, and entirely grass. It had no buildings when we got it either, but it was fenced, at least. We will be sharing it with another larger family this summer, so hopefully we can make the best of it.

We have 12 acres here in central Il. Only about 1 1/2 is for the house and 8 is in pasture fence for 1 belgian horse. The rest is currently a hay field and houses 85 laying hens. Just the right size for us right now.

We have a total of 25 acres. Our home and 5 out buildings occupy 3 acres, hay field is 8, woods are 14 acres. We have a picnic/camping area in our woods for family gatherings...a nice get away spot!
