Several shipments have come into Canada over the last couple of months. Prices started at $275....now you can't buy one for love or money.

I picked up several.......alot cheaper then an AR............

I do not mean to sound rude, but you only show your ignorance of guns when you make a statement like this.

An SKS/AK47 cartridge is far less powerful than the majority of cartridges normally considered "hunting" cartridges.

The gun this man used to kill these people would have done no harm at all, if HE had gone berserk over something and started loading the gun, pointing at someone, and pulling the trigger.

I still don't follow what that link had to do with anything in my post?

Your link has nothing to do with anti violence other the to prove the media sensationalizes the violence and can't report the truth with out embelishing the facts...

What does

"You mean this?" have to do with what I was stating?

So you linking the acts of a man who commited crimes is an example of why the prices have risen or is it trying to show why you believe the government knows what's best for us?

I asked before and still am asking...Spell it out instead of wondering why I jumped to assumtions. Which I stated I was doing.

mldollins I would probably ask a little more for your rifle as they are selling really good right now. You might be surprised what someone would pay, and you can always bring the price down. I would also hold onto it unless you are wanting a different firearm.
I have to jump on the pro 2nd amendment side. Ignorant, which i mean not knowledgable on subject, people think if they take away guns then the violence is going to miraculously going to stop. The only thing that will do is make us unarmed citizens easier to be preyed upon by the same nutty people out there killing now. The people committing the crimes will still be armed. Taking away guns has already shown that it doesn't work in GB and Canada. Violent crimes have increased since they have taken the rights of gun owners away. if you don't want to own guns that is fine it is your choice and freedom, but I don't feel that I should have my freedom to own guns taken away because of nutjobs out there that can't deal with life. Sorry I got off topic, just felt both sides should be discussed.

I agree with asking more money for it and if you don't sell it now, keep it a while and try it again in a couple of months.
I, personnely, wouldn't sell any thing right now.............

You seem intent on turning this into an anti-gun, pro-gun debate. Not biting. Based on your assumptions you seemed to have made up you mind. Well you can make all the assumptions you want (nothing wrong with that, nothing wrong with what I posted either).

No I am trying to follow what your point of the link was!
But you won't tell me so I have to assume what you meant

I've asked twice now..I pointed out I was making an assumption. I've given you a chance to explain what the link had to do with my post. I've asked what the point was.
So yes, since you refuse to answer I will assume you are anti gun!
No let me change that I know you are anti gun and anti Constitution.

The local swap shop radio had a Chinese SKS for $550
He might have that one for a while.

Most original military Ak's and SKS's are 7.62x39. The exception is normally the reproduction, which can come in a few different calbers..

Like AR's are nomally .223/5.56, but I've seen the repro's in .308 and other calibers..
