You just have to know the market price for the thing you are after before you walk in, just like any other 2nd hand store. They *all* sell some things too expensively, and some things are a steal. Doesn't matter what they sell either, building supplies, children's clothes, books, whatever. The second hand market pricing structure is a bit confusing to me, but if I know the price of the thing I am going for new, and the relative value of the thing to me, I can get good deals at restore. (and any other second-hand store for that matter.) Caveat Emptor. It is just the way things are. Doen't make them bad.
I love the habitat for humanity organization too. I think they do a good thing.
