Assigned to Mountain Home AFB as a Maintenance Supervisor on an Aircraft Simulator. The Clerk was on leave but had a picture of a Palomino Mustang on her desk. I thought that I would meet this clerk and get her to teach me how to ride. She did and was a pretty good clerk so I kept her. She states that she signed me into the squadron and just kept me.

In school, so it wont' help you but we started dating when we were both 17 and married as soon as we graduated after my 18th B day, I'm six months younger.
We both discussed how we wanted to live our lives while we were dating. So 30 years later, here we are. We're living it and now we are grandparents.

Lots of people will say that 18 is too young to get married, exspecially for the guy, but it worked for us. He has always been my best friend and still it but he is also a great husband and father. We have 4 children and they all love him dearly. And now he's Peepaw to our little grandson.

I met my wife while on leave in the Philippines. She was working in a mall at a hairdresser's salon and it was love at first sight....for me. After walking around the mall for an hour thinking how I was going to meet her I finally just walked in there and and asked her out and she said YES. On our first date she was accompanied by 2 other girls and I footed the bill of course. It was that way for quite awhile. A thousand letters later and trips back and forth from Japan to the Phils I finally convinced her that I was worthy to be her husband. That was 12 years ago.

How we met is bit of a joke when we are drinking...

We met in college. I was dating one of his friends, and he was ... umm.... "dating".... a few of my friends. We use to tease him so much about his "dating". I always thought he was so wonderful and hot.

We went on a road trip to the city with my BF and some other guys. I decided to get my belly button pierced and he stayed with me. We were so shocked and laughed it off when the piercing lady asked how long we had been dating. On the way back to the college, we stopped at his sisters place then continued on. He was one of my best friends.

1 year later , I went back to the college for a party (a bunch of my guy friends had another year after I left). He was acting strange so I asked what was wrong. He said "ask Trevor". So I asked Trevor what was wrong, Trevor being a good friend to both of us. He rolled his eyes and said "He likes you". I about burst a gut laughing. The Romeo of college, whom was "dating" a different girl every weekend and had some pretty smooth moves, was too shy to tell me he liked me. So I walked over to the pool table, put my arms around him and said "I like you too".

My parents and older brother loved him (never liked anyone else). He hunted, camped, fished, drove a truck and was a hard worker. Better then any other city boy I had brought home.

When I moved in with him and got to meet the family, his sister, her hubby and their kids all remembered me. I was a bit shocked b/c I barely remembered them. But apparently after our visit to there house in college, they had asked DH when he was going to settle down. He said he had already met the girl and he was just waiting for her to get to the point of settling too. LOL He told them they had met the girl the last weekend, ME! I almost cried and still tear up when thinking about how long he liked me and I liked him. But it is good we never did get together before, as it wouldn't have lasted as we were still having fun.

We dated for 3 months, then lived together for a year before he proposed. Married seven years this July, with 3 kids.

We're another geek luv story.

DH met me at the annual real-life party held by some of the local members of a big MOO (kind of like a bulletin board) (Lambda MOO, if anyone cares). We'd never taken particular note of each other online - it's a busy place and our paths never crossed. At the party I was shy and drawing pictures by myself in the corner. DH noticed me and contrived to make me notice him.

After the party was over, he sought me out online and we got to know each other well enough that I decided he was a friend. In particular, I thought it was sweet that he was often trapped at his computer because his cat was curled up asleep in his lap and mustn't be disturbed. A year later we were significantly more than friends. That was twelve years ago. Still have the cat. She's currently asleep in *my* lap.

Met my first husband through my brother. They were in the Army together. That marriage lasted 10 LONG years. Second husband I met at our mutual church. I must agree, that is a great place to meet someone, you get an idea what their values are hopefully.

DH and I met when we both worked for the local volunteer ambulance company. He was an EMT and I did dispatch. Soon I got my EMT so I could ride shifts with him. We usually did nite shifts cause we both had day jobs. No hanky-panky allowed....although I know for a fact that the ambulance stretcher has seen its share of activity not related to emergency medical calls.( not us though). He went from volunteer on the ambulance to a career in the fire service (37 years so far) and I went into emergency nursing. We've been married-happiness, peace and the same goals-for 31 years in March. Who knew that doing CPR could bring two people together. He is a very caring, honorable man who wants only for me to be happy and he can fix just about anything.

I doubt that you are a "wild child" like I was, but at the age of 32 a male running buddy of mine brought a tall, beautifully masculine hunk of a man to my apartment knowing that I would be glad to show him a good time. I did. He stayed the night. Moved in the next morning, and has stayed for 14 years! (I guess he found what he wanted - I sure did!)
