Don't count out the wolf. I lived in northeastern Okla.,right on the edge of Ark and I saw two wolfs. I am a born and bred country boy and I know they were wolfs. Even tho They are not supposed to exist in Okla!

tnokie, I have a question! My son says there are bears in Oklahoma, but I think he's fully of baloney. Do you know? I'm about 40 miles southwest of Tulsa. I kept hearing something outside my back door a few months back and found tracks that I couldn't identify. He told me it was probably a bear! This is hilly, rocky lake country, if that makes any difference.

Oh yeah ,there are bears there. Most are wandering thru ,but they are spotted regulary. Eastern Okla. is the foothills of the Ozarks and rugged backcountry is always not far off. There was one caught in a subdivision in Westville Okla. a year or two back. It was feeding on peoples dog food, they set out for their pets!

Probably just a large dog. I have a Cane Corso (mastiff type breed) that leaves tracks like that.

We have a husky/malamute cross that weighs 137 lbs and looks like a wolf. His tracks are that big.
