Hi Vern
After being a Full Time Real Logger with My own JD 440 Skidder , running Husky 181's and 266's , that I still use , back in the late 80's .
I only use My bow Saw to trim the bottom of My " Green Pine Tree with Decorations " ( To be Politically Correct ) that We set up in Our Livingroom .
As for the Ear Muffs , after working as a Logger , Diesel Mechanic and Air Compressor Mechanic for the last 45 yrs. I don't really need them .
When taking the NRA course for Firearms Range Safety Officer , I was asked to put My protectors on as they had started shooting , I replied We Are ?
