that was sick. i am not fond of PETA but when it comes to things like that....
of course livestock auctions i this area can be as bad. they are so dang rought with only a day old calf.

Yes it was a hormel farm and the pig was a sick sow. The manager was kicking her to get her to stand up. I've heard that he's since been let go from the farm.

I think in that case PETA did a good thing but most of the time I think they really don't understand.

They really are a bunch of freaks. Animal rights are important, I am a huge animal lover, but like you guys, I am scared of PETA nutjobs. They should be on a watch list.

I would like to invite them over for a BBQ, A tasty tasty meat filled BBQ. They can even pick the animal they want. These people make me sick. I love animals we actually do animal rescue, but come on there is a limit. ANIMALS ARE NOT PEOPLE.

What you have there is animal welfare not animal rights. There is a large difference.

What people have to remember is that peta is about abolishing all interaction between humans and animals whether the little minds of their supporters believe it or not. At the moment, that is a pretty radical idea so they have to start out by looking good and yes in some ways it is a good thing, nobody likes to see animals being abused.
However the goal is the same and all the "niceities" are just a means to get there.
They do not deserve support. Support your local animal shelter, or rescue facilities. They are doing far more for animals than peta will.

Those people were traumatized by seeing Bambi and Dumbo when they were kids. Gimme a break.

Yep, someone beat me to eating tasty animals.

the conditions of factory farming should be stopped. No?
its pretty disgusting. the video of the hormel pig farm entailed more than just kicking a sow because she wouldnt get up.they laughed as they shoved a metal pole.......well, you get the picture. thats downright abuse. the sadistic freak who did this..and laughed...was fired about a month later.
scary to think that guy is actually walking the streets.......

What happened on the farm is far and away the excpetion. I wonder how many farms were taped before they found one with footage they could use.

We also don't know how much the PETA infiltrator coerced the employees on this farm since the footage was edited prior to release and the entire interactions on the farm like would have happend in a police investigation.

Two PETANS were caught in Virginia who had euthanized animals in a van while one of them was telling the people they got them from they would find them good homes. They put the carcasses in plastic bags, then into a dumpster at the place where they where they put down the animals. That is how they were caught. PETA has joined with HSUS. PETA is the mouthpiece for ELF anf ALF.

I belive in treating animals decently. Anyone abusing animals should be heavily fined and or jailed. As for PETA, don't be so hard on them. Invite them over for BBQ and get to know them. Give them some fried chicken to take home with them.
