Well... the cows came from Long Island. Apparently our hauler never gave a thought to the traffic on Long Island and he sat in it for a very long time. Then to make matters worse, on the way home he missed his turn and ended up in Brooklyn NY! Soooo glad I wasn't driving that trip! I would have cried!!!

Anyhow, that's why they got here so late. (that's also why they should have come on Saturday - less traffic. but I'm not the driver) Either way, they all made it safe and sound.

That's good to know...

In my mind only rustlers pick up & deliver in the middle of the night. Was really hoping you hadn't got conned into buying some "hot" cows.

Nope. Definately not. These are registered and 100% legit. I never thought about how the story sounded though! LOL

You can shear now. I have friends who shear in January- brrr! but keep the sheep in a barn for a week or so afterwards. After shearing, the wool grows quite fast, esp if it is cold. He will have enough fleece to keep him warm. You aren't doing Cousin any favors by leaving that wool on. Please shear him.

You can still shear. When we lived in New Hampshire we had neighbors who had Shetlands and Merinos, and they sheared half their flock in the spring and half about this time of year. I agree that your new wooly looks like a Shetland, by the way. It's wonderful wool, though if he hasn't been shorn for a while, it may be a mess.

love your bonus! That is so sweet! Glad you got a good laugh!

It kindly reminds me of when the preacher gave me a goat and i had to take a cat with it because the cat and goat was always together, slept together walked around together etc....
The preacher thought one would not thrive well with out the other; they had tried taking the cat into the house, but they cried for one another until they let the cat back out to the goat
