Yeah, but the way my luck has been running, they'll be right this time. Anyway, I ain't gonna hang around to watch the wind blow. I don't want to be the feature item on the 6 o'clock news.

See y'all later.

Look out Corpus -

If any of you need a place to park an RV we live in Center Point, just south of Kerrville. Its coming for us to but we are a couple of hundred miles inland.

I was going to San Antonio for the weekend anyway, have to go see my son, he's celebrating his 34th birthday. Really didn't want to leave under these circumstances though.

Well, if the good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise (wind don't blow) I'll have a place to come back to after the weekend. If not, oh well, will have to make do. I was looking to buy a place up around S.A. anyway, might be the time to do some serious looking.

I like the way you think! Just told my DH this morning on the way to work that if our house gets demolished by hurricane force winds this week it'll give us an excuse to buy the YURT I've wanted for years Seriously though, natural disasters can be a true nightmare. Just trying to turn the worry into looking at the silver lining.

Good heavens, why are they evacuating? I don't think they're even in the cone. If it goes in near Corpus, even I won't be evacuating.....maybe.

The east wall is coming over my house, if the current model is correct.

I am boarding up everything tomorrow and bugging out. I had plans to be in Austin for the next few days before this all started anyway.

My neighbor/renter is staying, so I'll be leaving out whole house generator and filling the gas cans for him before I leave.

I have not heard anything about Houston thinking of evacuating all of their millions. That is scarey , cuz Houston will need an entire week to get everyone out of there. Remember last time. Everyone was stranded on side of road with no gas. If I lived in Houston I would already be gone. They are waiting to late. This thing will be here maybe by saturday/sunday. That is not a long time to get millions out.

Thinking about NOT leaving now. Too many factors in play still.
