I looked on "anywho.com" and searched for sawmills within 50 miles. Found 4 of them!!!!!! I didn't know they existed. They are all about 40 miles away, but I can handle that. Now I need to make phone calls....

A neighbor here did not have the funds to finish up their floors yet so they just put stain and poly on the sub floor plywood. Then they tossed a few rugs around. It looks very nice.

The floor of our loft is made from ruff cut pine. Ran it through a planer to clean up the topside. Mounted with 1/4 caps between the boards. Looks like an enclosed deck

Would you believe.... I called a sawmill and told them I wanted rough cut ANYTHING to use for flooring in a cabin. She said they don't plane or kiln dry, so that I would be MUCH better off to go to Menards or Home Depot and get some laminated stuff. "Besides, it looks SO much nicer and will hold up better".

What kind of a way to run a business is that?!?!?!?!

I am not taking her side but she was kinda looking out for you on this,,, unless you can put the wood up for a year or so to let it dry, (stacked and spaced out between boards) she was looking out for you. green cut lumber will shrink a lot and you could end up with huge gaps in your floor. Maybe she should have told you about the 'wait time' instead of just turning you off.
just my input,if worth anything.
