You'll not find these birds anywhere. I was lucky enough to acquire a few hens from a local breeder, one is a dud, and as i mentioned lays the golden eggs......which i was informed is a genetic flaw. The other is an amazing example of the breed and I plan on showing her at the fair this year. The breed name is Buff Butterbrot and quite closely resemble the buff orpingtons with the exception of "egg" color. The breeder has worked on his lines for some time now, and is still having problems with brown or multigrain bread???? He thinks it might be his Rooster, but is not entirely sure. As it stands the bread is a reasonable dense white.
