Well, I've waited longer than three days for parts from the local JD, NH, and case dealers here in town. With the little yanmar I own, the wait is usually two days with stanard shipping, wither overnight available. I do agree with you that dealer support is very important, but it is not guarenteed based on the color of your machine.

Those of you who use a ptractor to brushog 10 acres 2x a year & have some fun with it the rest of a year likely don't much care, only want a cheap price.

I'm not sure where you are going with this, but the "real farmer" vs a homesteader argument is getting kinda stale. Despite working as the former along with being a heavy equipment operator, I am now the latter. The last time my tractor sat for than a few days I was too sick to stand up. My tractors get worked long and hard, it is how I pay for part of this place, just as how your machines help pay your way. But, we'll pull this back away from the people on the tractors and talk about the machines:
Those little grey market yanmars that people are buying for a cheap price to brushhog 10 acres 2x a year & and have some fun with the rest of the year... What were they doing before Mr. Not-a-REAL-farmer bought them? Oh yeah... they were farming full time in Japan.
