I agree that a lot of people have lost all pride in being self supporting and think the Gov. owes them a living. I retired on Soc. Sec. and after a couple of years had to go back to work. Soc. Sec. fund has been robbed where in won't last long. A lot of other pension funds are going broke or being robbed. The elderly people are going to have a rough time existing in the near future. I feel sorry for the young people working. My son is paying Soc. Sec. knowing he will never get to draw any. He's trying to put money in 401K and other retirement funds, but with inflation and other things that can happen to them, his retirement prospects don't look any different than mine. Just because you think you have security build up over the years don't get too complacient. It can be gone in a heartbeat and then you are in the same boat with everyone else. Thats the reason I have compasion for my fellow man. Anyone that tries to survive and through bad luck or times has it rough I feel sorry for. For those that are able to work, but won't , and thinks the world owes them a living, I don't feel any compasion for. I do feel sorry for their children and the way they will be trained to survive by doing like the parents.
