Ask F&G if they can find a relocator for it. If not take it to a local zoo to become a petting zoo animal if F&G think it is ok.

One fawn dying a natural death is better than letting just anyone pick up every fawn they can catch

Deer are too dangerous to be kept as pets, and most fawns over 8 weeks old can survive on their own.
They can grow up to kill people, so which is better now? A fawn dying, or a person?

It is best for this individual fawn, but not for deer overall.

Now that it's done, good luck.

well I called the game warden. explained the situation and the fact that I dont have the fawn ..yet.
I agreed to call him if and when it shows up and he will take it to a rehabilitation center for me.
Because.... I could get into trouble for having it in the first place if I took it in! geesh!
luckily he kinda knows me (wife swap) and believes my story.

I called the people who know the people who wanna bring it to me. explained what I planned to do and told them how much trouble they could be in.. now I'm not 100% sure they'll bring it to me.
they said I was stupid for not keeping it for meat... we'll see what happens.

Another good arguement, yes, I just don't see it as good enough. Obviously, yes, a deer could kill a person, but what farm animal (besides poultry and rabbits) couldn't?

Goats
Pigs
Cows
Llamas
Alpacas
Horses
Mules
ect...

All have more than enough ability to kill someone... But we still take our chances with them don't we?

Anyhow, just my opinion
