I plan on growing only what I eat and nothing extra for sale...

As far as shortages, I think the homesteaders will fare better than the people in the big city...Thats why we moved to the mid-west.

I am also planning for the future Apple trees, Pear trees, Blueberry bushes, strawberries, making permanent beds..

My family will not starve...
