And guess what? They only eat a few kernels and birds end up with most of it! When the snow began melting around here last month, I found 15-20 ears with just some of the end kernels missing. Now that the snow is gone, the squirrels ain't touching them. I collect them for the pigeons but haven't a clue as to whom to thank since none of my immediate neighbors have a soft spot for squirrels other than eating them.
