Laura, yep, this just follows my bad/sucky winter/early spring that I've had...lost my cell phone, totalled my car, had bronchitis[spent ALL of christmas/new years sick}, the flu, broke my glasses........I MAY drive up there after work on saturday night...minus Phoenix...maybe. I may run home and get him, and just spend a few hours with whoever might be left there on Sunday morning....I am gonna TRY to get off work early...but it's doubtful....so maybe I'll be able to be there for the fall one....

Wow - Laura I just realized (yes, I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes), that this time must make it so much easier for you - with school letting out, and having a week to prepare. In the past you've been in the middle of finishing up the school year, and having to get everything ready and heading this way after a busy school day.

LaDonna, hope you can figure out a way to make your hoped for plans happen. Phoenix must be asking you if you've forgotten about his vacation this Spring.

I'm heading off to my first day of work this morning...wish me well.

Only 17 more days to go...

Hugs,
Marlene

Trying to not get my hopes up too much, but looks like boyfriend will be off for this weekend and unless something bad happens we should be there. This will be the first I have been able to make. Looking forward too it.

I'll cross a few fingers and toes for you myself MerryMedic - and count on seeing you there.

I survived my first day at work -- just barely -- it's a lot to take in a short amount of time -- we'll see if I survive the 90 days of probation.

Just 16 more days to go

Hugs,
Marlene

You can do it Marlene. It's been a long time but you will get back into the swing of things.
Congratulations on finally finding a job and not just any job but a good one.
Thats my girl!

hope you enjoy the work marlene, what is it again? (i'm a little forgetful)
yes, marlene, this time i will have a day to relax and pack, instead of packing up the nite before, taking a friday off work (which i hate to do-i don't like having subs in my class), and arriving somewhat stressed. this year i will have 2 afternoons (mon and tues) and then we'll leave wed to visit my granny in benton ark and drive up from there fri am. the boys are looking forward to it. caitlin, not so much, savannah is clueless, i think, that we're even going....

Does anyone know how many little kids will be there? My daughter is 4.

Well boyfriend has decided to go back to being self employed and gave two weeks notice at work so looks like the weekend of this campout is his first weekend off. He is looking forward to coming and meeting like minded people. He also loves to cook and is a very good cook and got real excited when I told him about you guy's dutch oven cooking. Now if I can just find the tent

We'll have Lisette with, but might not be there until later Saturday - Eric's a delegate to a state convention that ends @ 5:30 Saturday evening in Branson.

Thanks Corky - you're right it is like riding a bike.

Laura, it's working for a private/non-profit. I'll be working in administration/finance with/for 4 other women who have needed some extra help for a long time. I'll learn how to do some of the stuff each of them are responsible for so that I can help them keep up, and make it possible for them to have vacation time and such without coming back to an even bigger workload. Kind of like learning 4 new jobs. They have all been there between 10-30 years and have great team work. I was flattered to be choosen because they feel of all the applicants I'll be the one who best "fits" -- nothing like starting a new job with a nice ego boost.

Bill - I'll send you my phone number in PM since you will be heading that way ahead of the rest of us so you will be there before I even leave the house - hopefully

Oh, and I'll share that I also think Laura has great children - well extra great but I'll sort of partial to 'em. Laura, I was trying to workout a surprise for Caitlyn, but my neice is not cooperating with me And come to think of it you might be more on the side of my neice.

Only 15 more days to go? ...

Hugs,
Marlene

Maybe ya'lls invite will be the ticket

Have to get an earlier start this A.M. -- Getting my job required t.b. test checked at the health unit this morning -- and it's first come first served there so I want to be as near to the head of the line as possible.

Two weeks from tomorrow is the big day

Hugs,
Marlene

Me too Laura -- I'll be more then ready to shut down all those voices in my head trying to remember all the new procedures and stuff I'm working on learning...what a fun challenge.

Two weeks from today!

Hugs,
Marlene

I think I will bring stuff for pancakes, homemade blackberry jelly, maybe some stew or chili fixings, hot dogs and check the freezer for fruit for pies. I do have a big turkey I could bring?? Any suggestions on how to cook it?
