You may have established a "prescriptive easement" that entitles you to the use of the road for access to your property. I would call a local title company attorney and get his opinion. He might be able to file the papers for you which could be challenged in court. However, nearly all states have laws that will protect you in a case like this. In Texas (and many states), the use must be established for a number of years, and "open and notorious" - meaning everyone knows you're doing it.

As for others using your property for recreational uses, build a fence.

Here is reality. The people living in the trailer park are bored. (you'd be bored too, living in a friggin box 8 feet away from a neighbor that you may/may not like). They enter your road/etc because they have rotten miserable lives.

Assuming you get all the legalities straightened out and know whats what with the easement/road/etc......you certainly can post a no trepassing sign. I assure you it will be almost universally ignored. People generally don't live in trailer parks because they possess traits such as high intelligence, hard working, driven with ambition, law abiding, financially well off people. 100 to 1 says the no trespassing sign will be regarded as little more than a suggestion.

To keep most people out, you'll need a locked gate. To keep all unwanteds out, nothing less than an armed guard will suffice.

Just sayin

Well, there are trailer parks and then there are trailer parks. You have college town trailer parks (I was in one for two years)... that are sometimes filled with the most driven geniuses on the planet. And then, there's the regular trailer parks filled with, uh, ah, um... (have to watch myself here, cause there are folks here on the board that live in em, and I get no good karma from insulting good folks).

I will say this... if a person is poor, not driven, not too intelligent, doesn't like work, and is on the wrong side of the law... odds are they aren't living in McMansions, townhouses, or penthouse apartments... I think it's logical for such a person to live in either govt housing (although some section 8 housing is in indeed, trailer parks) or the cheapest place in the country to live... trailer parks...

If I were in the OP's place, I'd probably have to sell out and relocate elsewhere... Good googly moogly, I'd hate to have anyone even close to me living in a home on wheels, much less a whole tribe of gypsies. (Not that there's anything wrong with gypsies {seinfeldian reference})

Gypsies was a much better term than I was going to use, but, like you, I like to stay on the good side of Karma and calling them morons was bad enough. I'm sure I'll get a thump for that.

I will say that 95% of their behavior can be attributed to their ethnicity. Never in my life have I seen a people so cockroach like in their behavior. (Oops, and here I wasn't going to use that word as a descriptor!)

An easement can be created from adverse possession.

[QUOTE=critterchick;2978534]she said that she believed there was a law on the books stating that they couldn't prevent you from accessing your land. QUOTE]

You need to find out the state law, because in Wyoming you most definitely are not guaranteed access to your property through anothers.

The Registry and a review of the deeds would be the first place to start, then to a lawyer that specializes in quieting of titles or property.
I don't know were NeoLady is at, but that is what applies to Wyoming.

Is there good karma to be had from absurd, racist comments?

I'd rather live next to the trailer park than next to you.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, and frankly, I care not one whit. When you're ready for them I'll send them your way.

You do that. Hopefully, they'll make it out ahead of your friends in the white sheets.

Sometimes people really disgust me.

LOL You know what, these 'racist', according to you, statements are based on a lifetime of living with them. EXPERIENCE. You go ahead and be all smug and self-righteous in your fantasy land. Whatever it takes to get you through your day. I, for one, have no desire to pick up the mangled corpses of their children when their dear babysitter, the 4 wheeler, runs them through a barbed wire fence or flips over on them, as was exactly what happened to a GROWN man who had to have his leg amputated because of it. Oh, and not only that I was somehow obligated to hear him calling for help because I just happen to live on the road, on which he had absolutely no business being, where the dumbass was jacking around, probably intoxicated, as usual. If that makes me a racist, then fine. I'm sure I've been and will be called worse and again, it matters not one whit because I am not obligated to dance to your tune, piper-boy. There is only one qualified to judge me and you, ma'am, aren't He.

Illegals

Now, I've found what I was looking for with this thread and you're obviously incapable of contributing to it other than to sit on your high horse and shriek with outrage at us po' racist folk, so why don't you run along on your merry little way and find something else to get all huffy about. I'm sure there's plenty to shriek about elsewhere.

Weeelllll, YEEEEHAAAWWW.

Ain't you just the sweetest little thing?

I'd like to point out that I did in fact contribute to the thread to answer your question. That was back before you showed your true colors. Now I regret that I did. I hope you post a county road and get jammed up with the law for doing so. Any difficulties you experience are richly deserved.

Tell me, do you object to people driving down your road? Or do you just object to COCKROACH people driving down your road?

I don't see any other "po'racist folk" on this thread. Just you.

Pathetic.
