I am with some of the others...if it is an old beater, sure, go ahead and try it. But if it is your only car, I would hesitate.

If you think about it, trailer hitches for cars bolt into the bottom of the trunk, right?

I think I would consider a snow blower, but if you have the time and money, why not try it?

Personally I find garden tractors close to useless when it comes to plowing snow even with chains and wheel weights. A 4x4 ATV with a blade is really slick for pushing snow. Maneuverable and fast and it can push a shockingly large amount of snow. Works better than a tractor with a loader and rear blade. A 4x4 truck with a plow is pretty hard to beat but I can do my driveway and lane about as fast with an ATV and do a better job. Doing a huge lot or road a truck mounted plow is the ticket.

If you've got the money a tractor or vehicle mounted snowblower is pretty much top dog. they'll bust about any drift you can find. Neighbor has one that is attached to his ATV. Has it's own engine and it really does a nice job. Expensive though.

If I just needed to do around a driveway and mailbox I'd either get a walk behind snowblower or a ATV with a blade. The former however is one use type of machinery that sits most of the year but the ATV with a blade can be used all year for a variety of tasks. I don't know what I'd do on the farm without an ATV.
