The worst part, I would think, would be lots and lots and LOTS of logging trucks. Not an issue if you don't mind them, but for some reason they give me the willies, (Probably that Nicholas Cage movie where he was the angel thing, or maybe Shania Twain's parents, I'm not sure which).
Also, when they are harvesting, it will be noisy. Those big saw em down machines are not quiet. But the pros might be that you might be able to work out a deal where you can glean the limbs and stuff that they cut off for firewood or "whatever".
Having just driven through Arkansas I'm assuming you are talking pines here. Well, I love pine trees, so knowing that I would be able to grow them on my property (or already have them there) is a big plus for me.
Soil that has been subjected to decades of pine needles is very acidic though, and you have to really amend it to bring it to a neutral ph. Or you could use raised beds for growing veggies, if that is a consideration.
