I have bunions (thanks to working in pointed toe high heels for years). I have three pairs of knock offs I bought at Payless Shoes. These are the greatest things I've come across for comfort. I hope they never quit making them.

I swore i would NEVER EVER wear them goofy plastic shoes ( as i have planters warts and bad feet) well I got a pair when it turned cold to go to the chicken coop ONLY ( cause dd1 kept stealing my sandles) and low and behold i wear them all the time, town and all , granted mine are knock offs ( dollar gen) but for christmas DD1 got a pair too ( AND STILL STEALS MINE!) so I think this summer we will invest in some more!

I absolutely loove mine. I have the knock offs form Payless the "airwalks"
My daughters love them for zipping out to do chores, the only reason my son doesn't have any is because Daddy thinks they are girly shoes.

I almost hate to say how many pairs i have lol, purple, sage, black, brown, kaki, navy and black winter ones. The winter ones were too hot so i drew little circles where the inner most holes on top were and cut little air holes there...now they are perfect. The beach ones are the wide ones and the Cayman ones are narrower. This literally the first time in my life I have had a pair of shoes that did not hurt the side of my foot (little toe side). I have REALLY wide feet and narrow heals and have struggled with finding shoes my entire life. I wear crocs day and night, at home and at work and at every other place i go. I have walked miles in mine for charity walks and it feels so good not to hurt! Got DH a pair for christmas as he was stealing mine....now he wears his most of the time too....but not out in the snow for him. sis

my GF, a nurse ,has been wearing those ugly suckers forever, apparently hospital staff wear them because they are comfortable for standing for long periods like surgery. The sad thing is one day I was sitting there putting stuff into the holes and laughing about it....not long after I see a headline where some woman signed a $20 million contract, she designed decorations that go in the holes of the shoes DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my crocs. Im a nurse so Im on my feet many hours at a time. I'll never go back to sneakers! I have dark blue, green and had a pair of hot pink ones too. You should have seen the CEO of the hospital looking at my feet at a meeting one day lol... I asked him if he wanted to try them on =)

Love em and wear them everywhere (okay, as long as I'm not dressed up). Almost all the nurses I work with wear them, too. We can run all night in them and not have sore feet. I have the PayLess knockoffs, and they work fine for me. I think I'm up to about 8 pairs in various stages of wear and color.

I have 4pr. bright green, orange, light blue and navy! The green and light blue are several yrs. old and I wear them to the garden, walk and feed the dogs. I wear the navy ones with my jeans==they orange ones are worn like house slippers with socks. . They are comfy, spray those boogers down with Dow bathroom cleaner and then hose off and they look like new--(but with a red clay tint!)--QB

...Well, if their good enough for the leader of our nation, thier good enough for me!
...I don't know though, I think one trip through the cattle shed with them would turn them into crocs of... well they'd fill up mighty quick anyways.

I see everybody wearing them and I say..."what is the attraction?" They are not terribly attractive, nor flattering and I expect they would be cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
If I cannot go barefoot, I think I will stick with my flip flops. I really hate shoes, and Crocs fall into that category, IMHO.

So the next logical question is do you usually wear them with the strap behind the ankle or with the strap forward?

I love mine. They're just plain ol' comfy. I use them for house shoes and garden shoes and just every day shoes.
I can't do flip-flops in general. I really hate having things between my toes.
I normally wear the strap behind my ankle. They're too easy for me to kick off otherwise.

Well, I hate to be the wet blanket here but......
Be very careful wearing them. I have seen at least 10 cases in the past few months, of broken ankles/knees/legs in people that have stubbed the toe of their crocs and fallen.
The nurses at my old hospital wear them and I cant tell you how many times Ive seen them catch the toe of them into the floor, and nearly fall. MANY hospitals are banning them for that reason, and of the safety issues of being spattered with blood, body fluids, etc on the feet and it getting on your skin, etc.
Ive wanted to try them, but my luck I would break a leg

I love mine...Wife bought me some after I got her some...A friend of mine who is a judge for Skeet Shooting recommended them...He's on his feet for 8 hours or more a day and said he'd never wear anything else but Crocs, because they're so comfortable and easy on his feet...How can you beat a recommendation like that?

My DH bought me a purple pair of crocs for Christmas '06. They are okay but I prefer my Scott's slippers. (AKA "thongs" or "flip flops"). I can wear the crocs though which is more than I can say for almost any other kind of footwear. I've been wearing Scott's slippers almost exclusively for several decades now so anything with something behind the heel causes blisters almost immediately.
The holes in the crocs let in small rocks which then stay inside. I find that distracting. They are also slippery in mud.

This is easily fixed by wearing a smaller size. My husband steals my crocs if he needs to run outside for something really quick. Officially, they're two sizes smaller than he would normally wear. Unofficially, they are snug but still comfortable.
If you really want to try them and you're concerned, try on a smaller size
