We subscribed and can't get the extra copy.

Just to let you know, we are military. I saw this ad on here and expected to be able to get an extention or close to that. They would only send it to a p.o. box in his company. Since he lives off post they won't give him a box. So we can't get our extra subscription.

Is there an expiration date on this discount? I have to wait until payday to subscribe. My fiance is getting me a subscription to BWH and MEN for an early birthday present! My birthday is in January, so I don't know if it's an early or late birthday present, but oh well, at least I'll be able to enjoy my magazines!

Of course you wont read them! Great idea for a homesteading gift.

But don't worry, DJ will like the magazine so much that he'll probably get some of the anthologies for you!

Any BWH subscriber can request a free subscription for a relative serving in the military by following these directions ==> http://www.backwoodshome.com/militarysubscriptions.html

Cabin Fever thank you so much for the info. I emailed my son for it. This is his second tour in Iraq and I think he's having a lonely time of it this time. Not that the first was a breeze. He won the bronze star the first time. Can't wait for him to get the magazine.

Unhappy Pricey

Get your local library to order it. That will encourage a wider readership and more subscriptions, at least by those who can afford it.

I wonder if the offer is still going? I let my subscription end about 9 months ago so I wonder if I would still fall under a new subscriber?

Enjoy, we have been subscribing for years and have gotten the whole shebang years ago. It has been and continues to be well worth the money we spent. The DW and I enjoy the mag and would recommend it to anyone. Also the books they offer are a good resource of info.

No I don't work for them, Just a happy subscriber..

My family ordered BWHM for me for Mother's Day last year...so sweet of them! Hoping that they renew for M Day this year. Always entertaining and enlightening!

I'm wondering if I ordered this for someone as a gift, would the discount apply?

Yes, it would apply. I've used the discount several times when purchasing a gift subscription for others. The only requirement is that the recipient is a new subscriber.
