When my daughter was in college she had a big stuffed Kermit The Frog that rode in the passenger seat! After dark it looked so much like a person sitting there that one night she left work and forgetting about good old Kermit she went back into work yelling that someone was in her Blazer!!!

My mom actually made herself "a man" back in the 80s. She thought it made it safer for her when she was out driving because it looked like she had a man in the car with her. We laughed ourselves silly, lol.

Then one day she got pulled over and got a ticket for it! I don't remember the reasoning now, and we don't have carpool lanes, so I know it wasn't that, but it was illegal and she had to stop using "him". She was incensed!

Sorry greenboy, but this is one of the silliest things I've ever heard, and I really don't think it would improve your safety at all.

I am beginning to think that perhaps I should start a new service... rent a rider...

Do you need a REAL man to ride in your car? Call Rent-a-Rider!

I'd think long and hard about advertising myself as a real man available for Rent-a-Rides

The dummy is so that other drivers won't think she's a woman alone. It's for her protection against predators (the human type) Chris

I have a friend who leased a mannequin from a clothing store for a ride-along from South Texas to New Jersey. You look accompanied. Safer.

He also enjoyed watching people try to talk to it at rest stops. :baby04:

well I think is a good Idea

But there is a lot of stories around, I am looking into getting one for my car, at 4:00 am is a wild world out there. I saw all kind of stuffs. If you want I share them. I can't get my gun with me, my kind of work do not allows to have have a gun in your car. One of the stories I heard is about this guy got jealous because his buddy told him he saw this guy wife with a man in her car, when he asked her she yelled. You bought that guy for me you dumb ... lol
