Griswold

I love Griswold.
I love picking up a cheap crusty cast iron pan at a thrift store and looking for the faint cross in the crud. Hidden treasure.

Looks like a regular old cast iron pan to me! Wonder if anyone is going to make a mold of it? Seems a worthwhile sort of mold if folks are gonna want the pans that much?

EBay is sooo much fun to sell stuff on!

An old number 13 Griswold is also rare and commands a high price. I've ever only seen two of them. One was sold at a farm auction for $1300.00 and that was back in the late 1990's. Check your big skillets, you might have a sleeper!

I've got one! Or rather, my mother does.

When I saw this topic the other day, I checked the skillets hanging on the wall, but didn't think to check the ones sitting on the stove. But I just picked up a skillet to cook hash browns and there it was! ERIE right across the top.

However, it may be the skillet passed down for 4 generations. I'll have to ask my mother. If it is, she wouldn't want to part with it. If that's the one, it has a very great deal of sentimental value.

But if it's one she got at a garage sale, ebay here we come!!
