Oh no, there won't be a shock. I have voluteered in a hospital, and have visited nursing homes quite a few times.
I was on the old folks floor at the hospital, trust me, have smelled poop and many, many stinky bodies up close. Also, I have done many diaper changes, probably more than you have! I come from a very large family!!

Poop is my hobbie! Yep, I like to disscuss it. It is something we ALL have in common, besides I have seen that many adults her have enjoyed this disscusion.
What's has changed your attitude about the whole disscussion? My age? Does it cause one to feel immature disscussing such things with someone who is not an adult?
Poop, we all have!!!
BTW...Animal poop is the best for your gardens! I have lots of that too. New disscussion?

When you wash you body with a washcloth human wast does get on it. What would be the proper sanitation for that?

Well - I can do more in a "Navy Shower" then my wife can in 45 minutes.

NatureWoman - your argument is not very sound. While I am not a proponent of butt wipe washing; I will not pretend that using TP saves water. It takes a huge amount of water to make paper products. Why do you think paper mills are always on a body of water. If you ever drive past one you can tell that they are emmitting tons of chemicals; you can smell all 'em. Minimizing paper is good for the environment - there really is no arguing the fact. So I can come up with tons of reasons to use TP - saving water is not one of them.

Smile I am 16

Ok, to all of you who took part in my disscussion, it was a hoot for some of us and for some a stress.
It alll went down-hill after my age was exposed, or should I say down the toilet! LOL!!
Yes, I am 16. Does my age matter? It is my wisdom that I am here to share. i am sure some of you may find me disgusting and some of you find me interesting. I know one or two of you found me to be FRUSTRATING!

George, I realize that making paper uses a lot of water...but they end up with a lot of paper in the process. And the tiny amount of TP that is used by one person in one week, probably does not use any more water than it takes to wash the required number of rags used in one week. So, it's a trade-off. Until someone can show me actual numbers of water used to make one roll of toilet paper, and it turns out to be drastically higher than to wash one weeks worth of rags, I will still choose toilet paper. But, I will start buying recycled toilet paper, since it's a way to recyle waste, and doesn't use bleach to process it. And maybe, over time, we can convince people to stop using pristine white toilet paper. Who cares what color it is? Tan paper still does the same job.

Top load washers also use a lot of water. And as you'll note, she said she rinsed several times (like one wash and three rinses).

your age is not an issue.

bathing is not "human waste".
feces and urine are human waste as it pertains to sewage regulations.
there is a stark difference, between taking a bath, and washing out a load of poop laden poop cloths.

that is why they class the water as grey, black or sometimes brown.

washing your butt in the shower doesnt = sewage.

Urine is sterile when it leaves the body. It will not harm you.
I don't POOP on the cloth, I wipe with it, there is a difference. If you are over the age of 40, it is most likely that you wore cloth diapers. Imagine that! Your poop laden diapers got washed and put right back on your body. Do you have any strange diseases or illneses, from using cloth for you poop during your younger years?
Out here in the sticks, there are no sewer regulations. It's live and let live. We live to the fullest, like a bunch of backwoods hillbillies. It's GREAT!!!

that has to be cleaner than dry paper alone..... I will admit.

I'll give it a trial week and report back on my adventures in butt wiping.

I'm gonna smell like a baby...
wait Ive smelled babies, thats not a good idea.
Yeah, that is what my dad does. He thinks our cloth wipes are SICK, DISGUSTING and he said,"I would go with out wiping before I would let somebody wash my poopy wipes."
I have to wash his poopy underwear, I don't see any difference.
You have a very good idea for using th ebaby wipes for costs. You will most likely use less of those than T.P.
You can get the Wal-Mart brand, flushable wipes for less than $2.00 You get about 50 wipes.

well you tell the sewage authority that urine is sterile and safe, then listen to what they tell you.

I dont have an issue with rewashing cloth diapers or even you using poop rags.
How to discharge that water is a whole other issue.

perhaps... more reason for you to learn to process your own wastewater properly.

I can tell.

get a few house guests who are carrying hepatitis or a few other diseases, then get back to me when your blood tests pop up positive one day.

Let me guess... no one you know has hepatitis. Good point, my bad.

No, guess again! Hillbilly country! I left a reply to my other thread. I am sure you found this info at my Blujay account. I am smarter than that! I don't give out that type of info on the world wide web.
I will share info about toilet wipes though!

Dealing with it is no trouble at all. The bucket doesn't have anything in it but the wipes and water, which doesn't have any pieces of poop in it.

If you are sticking your hand in the bucket to get the rags out, you are putting your hands in sewage water. The poop is still there. It didn't magically disappear just because you soaked it. It just got diluted.

Not everyone in Indiana thinks like her. I myself prefer to use toilet paper. Gotta buy a couple more packs when I shop this week.

Also, I don't care if your well has been around for 500 years. Wells can go dry at any time.

Why in the world would you stick your hand in the bucket? Do you stick your hand in the toilet too? That is pretty weird of you!
You are a smart woman, poop can not magically disappear. What made you think that anyway? Soaking something just removes it from the fabric to the water.
When I dump the bucket into the washer, it is dirty water. Hmm...I guess common sense or experience told you that. As for the well, Yes, a well can go dry at anytime! So, don't think your well will last forever, it may last your lifetime though.
If our well went dry, I would dig another one on our 400 acres.
