I've owned a Struck crawler for a few years now,Great Machine! I bought it used and have not had a bit of trouble with it. It came with the original owners manual, and to my surprise, after checking i found that they still fully support all their equipment with replacement parts down to the very last bolt and nut. I wouldn't be afraid to buy anything built by them new or used.

Dh is in love with them. I keep telling him when we finally get some land he can get one. I'll be more than happy to give him lots of projects.

My parents have one. They use it for hauling sawlogs and firewood out of their steep, rocky, wet-in-places Maine woods. It's the tiny, belt-drive one, and it will go places that I would hesitate to take my 4wd tractor. The small size is a plus if you're having to clear roads through the brush.

wow this is one of my old threads!

I am always still interested in what people think. I have yet to buy one, but still lean sometimes toward this one.

I have also looked some at Power Tracs (http://www.power-trac.com/, but it is a different kind of machine.

I think I would just log onto Craig's List or Uncle Henry's ( A Maine Thing ) and search for a John Deer 350 or 450 sized machine
A Magnatrac for $ 5000
