How many men here grow a beard for fall?

I was out in 83 when that 'change' happened, attending college. When I got back under-water again in 87 the boats had all gone over to selling the crew 'beard-chits'.

Pay $5 to MWR, and you get to wear a beard for the next 100 days.

Did that out of Holy Loch, Groton, King's Bay, Charleston, and Bangor.

I never seemed to have a problem with a seal. Waiting to see what my Director of Nursing has to say about the beard I'm growing now.
