I havd had and used every winter for over 10 years the Eco fan and I HIGHLY recommend it. You don't need to feel the air moving - that's not how they work. In SD I had one on my wood heat stove in the living room in a 2200 sq. ft. house with 2 long hallways and that little fan got the heat circulated into the far bedroom very nicely, thank you. I now have one in my 1800 sq. ft. home in Northern AR. and it does the same job - the heat goes down the hallway to the far bedroom 65" from the fire very nicely - thermometer in the bedroom reads 70 and the living room is 75. In my opinion they are well worth the $$ especially in winters when there are power outages for a week at a time!

I have the larger Ecofan and really like it, but it does require a griddle temperature of 500 degrees to work. The hotter the griddle the faster it goes but don't go over 750 or it burns out the motor. I noticed a big difference in how fast my clothes dryed on the rack next to the stove. It really moves a lot of air. We tested it with a candle to see how far the air flow would affect it and it was surprising.
