That's a nice looking trike! What kind of mileage does that motor get when put into a trike?

I cant afford a Harley either, thats why I spent the whoppin $2500 on that sportster, I'd rather have an old temperamental ironhead than a new festooned garbage wagon anyway. You couldnt give me a new HD, they're just not the same anymore almost as if they tried to copy the japanese who copied harley....and dont get me started on dealerships , or should I say fashion boutiques

I also just scored a 1972 kawasaki machIII 500 for $500. I cant wait to tear into that thing too. anyone who knows about those bikes will understand.

as far as the loud pipes, you can only really appreciate them fully after you've ridden something with a nice quiet exhaust and saw your life flash before your eyes because the moron who was too busy talking on his cell phone, reading the paper, and eating breakfast while driving his SUV almost kills you because he didnt see or hear your bike.

We get 37 miles/gal. - it has has an 11 gal tank. We have a large group of trikers here in so central missouri - have a great time together. We have one made from chevy cobalt that rides with us - that's a cool trike. Took ours back to Central NY this past month and rode it around the Finger lakes. Nice ride.

I have no idea how I forgot about this but, about 2 months ago I was invited to help work on a chopper/bobber for a charity bike build. a friend of mine Joanne Bortles from NC, who's been custom painter for over 25 yrs now and has I think 4 books out http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&sear...Bortles&page=1
heres a nice segment on joann from NBC http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...arch&plindex=0

She needed help to do the paint and bodywork on a bike that was to be shipped to NY for a live bike build on the today show. So she offered to tech me some tricks of the trade in exchange for the help on the bike, how could i say no? So i packed up the car and my camping gear and drove 6 hrs to NC.

We spent 5 days working about 15 hrs a day to get this thing ready and just made it in time. It's NOT a harley, it has a 96" S&s engine with a baker transmission

heres some pics of us workin

Quadcam, I hear ya on the dealerships (stealerships). I got mine from a small local dealer as a left-over so got a pretty good deal seems how I used to ......... his sister in high school. I didn't have a bike for about 25 yrs, wives and kids ya know! lol got the itch one day so started looking on the net and liked the looks of the v-stars about the best so dumped the $ on one. I had Yami dirt bikes when younger ...they're tougher than a bag of hammers. That seems to hold true on the newer Yami's. I plan to do some mods this winter, better pipes, pod kit and maybe cams.

btw, that's a beautiful ride you helped build.

you can buy the orange bike, it's going up for auction at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino after biketoberfest and Ft lauderdale bike show. As fas as i know it did the rounds Sturgis, daytona, then lauderdale shows. all of the proceeds from the sale go to the boys and girls club of broward county Fl.

I'd definitely call the OP bike a cruiser. No sport bike ever had floor boards. Here's my machine:

Ahhhhh sweet dreams.

First bike I rode was an Indian....now I'd love to have a Harley trike.

Arizona sure has the weather for bike riding.
