All of these love light to moderate frosts.

Here in south Louisiana we are still planting plants of broc. and cabbage, potatoes from cuttings, and ALL the greens:chard, collards, mustard, brocolirabb, arugula (rocket), spinach, many lettuces, English peas, and snow peas and carrots. Yes, you are right about water being a limitation tho. These plants grow quickly at this time of year and need quite a bit of water. The good thing is that there are fewer pests in fall and winter, except for the 2-legged kind! Today it's about 88 degrees and 100% humidity; perfect for football! LOL! ldc
